Stuck on Frederick Hart Murray
« on: Monday 25 February 08 18:51 GMT (UK) »

Hiya guys

I am trying to solve a bit of a conundrum so any help would be appreciated

I have in 1881 and 1891 a Frederick Hart Murray b 1863 Eccleshall, Staffordshire living in Overley Hill, Shropshire with his family and wifes parents. His death is listed 1900 aged 50 (age a little out)

Problem is I cant find him in an earlier census

There is a Frederick Murray b 1863 West Felton Shropshire with parents John and Harriet (mistranscribed on Ancestry 1871) and a baptism on the IGI for 7.3.52 at West Felton

There doesn't seem to be a registration of his birth on FreeBMD or one for his parents marriage

Is this the same Frederick? I'm a bit at a loss so any suggestions are welcome

He's the only Frederick Murray on Ancestry- 1861 also has mother's mother - Jones does that ring a bell? If not then you may have even more information as a result.
best wishes

Hiya Heywood

Thanx for that I hadn't spotted it - maybe her maiden name was Hart? and that where it comes from. I am leaning towards the fact its the same Frederick

I will order the certificate thanx Wozzle - least it will clear this up. Marys maiden name was Bates - her first husband died young

Eccleshall maybe forever a mystery lol
