Ludlow?

I'm looking for a family in Ludlow in the 1841 census. I have a subscription to Ancestry.

Francis Bursnell and Sarah, married 1837, Ludlow.

But I can't find ANYONE in Ludlow on the 1841 census? Was it listed under another town?

Any suggestions gratefully received. Smiley

enter shropshire in the county box and ludlow in the hundred box and it should come up.

i cannot understand why it will not work for you
i have just done it on 1841 census and got 5,570 entries.
you did leave everything blank apart from the hundred box and the county box did,nt you
i know if you enter bursnall in the surname box it comes up blank
but the surname could have been mistranscribed.
have you tried just putting bur* or just francis in the first name box.

ive just tried bur* in the 1841 census.
all that came up was francis burnell or bursnell  age 15. b. shropshire
civil parish st.lawrence.
hundred. ludlow.
county. shropshire.
reg.dist. ludlow.

if you want me to post the full entry then i will but he would appear to be to young to be your man.

1841 transcribed as frat burgnell and sarah burgnell

1841

francis age 35.

living at old street,st,lawrence,ludlow,
