OK, back to the Kent family. Would you like George traced back, Chris?
In the meantime, I had a look at James and Ellen.
1891 RG12/1017 99 26 Stanwell, Middlesex The Village 4 rooms occupied James Kent, head, 26, labourer Farm, b. Berks Wingfield Ellen, wife, 23, b. Berks Hair Hatch
Marriage Sep 1887 Easthampstead 2c 669 James Kent - Ellen Tucker
Ellen is in service in Buckinghamshire in 1881.
This is the best I come up with in 1871: RG10/1273 125 17 Mongewell, Oxfordshire SheepCote Farm James Tucker, head, 39, Ag lab, b. Berks Reading Charlotte, wife, 45, b. Glostershire Hampton Mary, dau, 18, General servant domestic, b. Berks Remenham? George, son, 14, Ag lab, b. Oxon Pishill? John, son, 11, scholar, b. do. Harehatch William, son, 5, scholar, b. do. Ellen, dau, 3, b. do. Frederick, son, 9 mo, b. Berks Brisham?
