Family & Social History - A Good Read ....
« on: Monday 10 January 05 16:59 GMT (UK) »

Stuff I've been reading:

Tracing Your Family Tree by Antony Adolph for Xmas.  Quite interesting.

The Victorian House by Judith Flanders - great stuff, really interesting, although it concentrates on middle- upper-class victorian households (so not quite the same lifestyle as my lot of Shoemakers, Costermongers, Labourers etc  Grin) but I really enjoyed it and it is well researched.

Also ordered a book about the Lime kiln industry and its workers, sparked off by a post on Rootschat  Cheesy

Regards
Jonathan
