John Ousby Whitfield

John was born in Whitehaven in 1872, son of James and Mary Ann. I know he had a daughter Margaret Ann who was born in 1910 (she was killed in an accident in 1928) but I don't know his wife or any other children. Can anyone help? Cass Cheesy

Thanks Geoff, Annie sounds familiar - I think I may have seen it in ?Kellys directory for the 1920's. Thanks for the births - sounds sexist but its much easier if he had sons to trace decendants!!!Cass

He might well have had sons between 1906 and 1912!    It is just that their mkother's name will not show up so you will have to guess if they are the right family.  It might be worth contacting Cockermouth register office and asking them if they will look for you.

These are the only other WHITFIELD birth registrations in the district in 1906-12, so there could just be one family around.
