Thanks Monica
We've got this from the main thread that I posted
I don't want to go too far on Margaret Cowden/Couden. Trying to keep the chart tidy but will add them when I've got the McNabs

With my concern about Robert Fraser's mother's maiden name. I forgot to mention that Agnes McCrae was 31 when she married Robert in 1855. She was a widow, second marriage and had 1 live child and 3 dead

The Peter MacNabb bpt Killdalton 22 Oct 1806 to Duncan MacNabb and 'J' appears the only one that fits the census info.
Who is 'J'?

I've found quite a few births, Kildalton, to Duncan Macbnab - all with no wife mentioned except Peter's bpt.
Marriages for a Duncan around this time in Kildalton:
16 Jan 1796 to Mary Fletcher 1 Sept 1798 to Issabell MacNabb 14 Marvh 1802 to Catherine McCuaig
Given that Peter and Janet's second daughter was Catherine, I would put forward the probability that his mother was Catherine McCuaig and the 'J' was reall a 'C'
I think it's pencil in time.
