hi is it possible that i could have some help trying to find out names of parents of George Mundy(ie) & Jane(Jean) Cheyne who married in Longside, Aberdeen on 22nd Nov 1827, narrowing it down on IGI possible birth date for George is 1806 born St fergus and for Jane (Jean) 1810, born St Fergus...but that is guess work on my part!! Their daughter Isabella married Alexander Thomson on 15th Jul 1865. Thank you Lindy-Lou

Hello,
I dislike seeing no replies to a post. Am out of credits - for next month on SP so can't help . However, I did some free searching.
A free search for a death of Jane Mundie (other name Cheyne) on SP brings up only one death between 1855 and 1900 in all of Scotland. Further narrowing brings it down to 1884 in Aberdeenshire.
Have you followed this couple throughthe census records?
If the lady above is your Jane/Jean, her death extract will as you know give the names of her parents and advise if her husband was alive or dead.
An SP search from 1855 to 1900 only gives 3 George Mundie deaths. 1 between 1855 and 1855. Their daughters marriage entry will advise if they were still alive at the time and narrow down the window of death..... As with Jane - Georges death extract will give parents name and fathers occupation.
Apologies if you know this already.
Regards, Steve :O)
(Have just forwarded to you by PM a list of children - 10 - all 'submitted' - from the IGI - all St Fergus)
