Hello There
George Henderson married Mary MacClean in Felton 3 Oct 1749. I presume he is the one born Stannington 1718 but have no real idea of where she came from.
In 1754 they appear in Warkworth and have 4 children there, Anna 1754, Margaret 1757, Christopher 1761, and Jane 1765.
None of them die in Warkworth, and Christopher, from whom I am descended, reappears in Newcastle All Saints at his marriage to Margaret Turnbull on 3 May 1785. He is a Cabinet Maker and therefore, a different one, I assume, to the C.H who married Sarah Machie in All Saints in 1778 as he was a bricklayer.
Can anyone help me find George and Mary between 1749 and 1754, and again after 1764??
Are there any apprenticeship records around for Newcastle as to be a Cabinet Maker Christopher must have served an apprenticeship.
All help and advice appreciated
Ashley

Hi Bigsis
I managed to get a look at a transcript - what seemed to be their aboude was 'ye Helm' - on the transcript her name could have meen MacClean or MacDean - the second name didn't have an upper case 'c'.
If you have access to an original I'd be very grateful for your opinion.
Cheers
Ashley

I've just had a look at a map of 1769 - Helm is a village about 2 miles south of Felton - the current A1 passes right by it. There is also a Little Helm.
