Well done Terry. Can I follow your exampe and offer MI's for ( mostly pre 1855)
Eyemouth, Foulden, Hutton, Ladykirk, Mordington, Lamnerton, Swinton, Whitsome, Abbey St Bathans, Bonkyl and Preston, Chirnside, Coldingham, Duns, and Edrom.
To avoid confusion with Terry's lookups, maybe searchers could email me direct, Approx dates would help, especially with common surnames. Please write MI SEARCH in the Subject line.

Hi Family Digger, There are 4 Redpath graves together in Ayton, one of them being the one I have already given you. I am transcribing the other 3 below as they are probably related. One of them is the grave for Robert Redpath and Mary Smith complete with death dates which will allow you to get their death certificates from Scotlands People and that should give you their parents names. Sacred to the memory of William son of Robert & Mary Redpath who died 4.2.1860 aged 17 years. The above Robert Redpath died 24.6.1880 aged 77 years. And Mary Smith his wife died 23.10.1882 aged 82 years. Also Robert Redpath son of the above who died in New Zealand. Also Susannah Renton Campbell Redpath beloved wife of John Darling Gamekeeper who died 8.10.1907 in her 77th year. Also the above John Darling died 31.8.1911 aged 74 years. Also their daughter Jessie who died in Canada 1912 aged 44. Also Joseph McFarlane beloved husband of Susan Darling who died 7.8.1941 aged 77 years. Also the above Susan Darling who died 21.4.1944 aged 70 years. In memory of Thomas Ridepath who died 7.7.1795 aged 76 years shepherd in Flemington. Also Betty Ridepath(wife?) who died 13.4.1807 age 71 years. In memory of Isbel Redpath who died 5.2.1791 age 14 months. Also Elisabeth Redpath who died 27.12.1794 aged 2 years. Died 30.10.1794 infant children of Robert Redpath. Also Robert Redpath who died 11.2.1801 aged 1 year and 8 months. This is the only other grave in Ayton and they may also be related? Erected by Thomas and Elizabeth Redpath in memory of George their son who died 5.1.1896 aged 14 years also Alice and Margaret their daughters who died in infancy also Hellen their 4th daughter died 8.4.1897 aged 24 years also the above Elizabeth Redpath who died at Stitchell Eastfield 12.5.1916 aged 72 years also the above Thomas Redpath who died at Hilton 22.2.1925 aged 82 years also Elizabeth their 3rd daughter who died Ayton 18.2.1963 aged 92 years also Mary their 9th daughter who died 9.7.1970 aged 86 years. Hope this info takes you further back with your search. Best wishes Terry

Hi Terry, I posted this request already on Scotland General board but just noticed your offer.
If and when you have time, could you please have a look for these for me...
Alexander Borthwick (both born) Dudgeon Borthwick (nee Pearson) (circa 1770) Peter Borthwick (died 1871 Dalkeith) anyone with forename Dudgeon Jean Borthwick or Robertson born 1793 Janet Borthwick or Jaffrey born 1802 (death probably Berwick) Margaret Borthwick born 1804 (unsure whether married)
Alternative spelling for Borthwick is Bortwick
Thanks for any help you can give me. Dave

These are great results Terry. I'll add them to the abundance of other resposes I've got regarding this line. I've got my work cut out trying to work out all the relationships. Fortunately, I've got time on my hands this weekend.
Thanks for checking these.
Dave
