Thanks greatly, Terry.
I'll keep these Kirkcolm ones around while I try to pursue the McCubbin line further...
On the ones you sent before - I explored the connection with Jane Blain who married James Bennoch, farmer in Sheuchan. Indeed she was the sister of the William Blain who is my (probable) great-great-grandfather - they being children of James Blain and Marey McKibbon, at Dalhabboch in Inch!

One more name for Inch - Maxwell. Mary Maxwell and William Blain were married in 1812, and I've no leads on who she was.

And thanks so much for looking these up!

Hi Terry,
Would you take a quick look for a McMillan family? If there is a David McMillan, d. Dec 1856, wife Margaret who predeceased him between 1851 and 1856, they'd be mine. David was a mason born about 1764.

Thanks!

Hi Karen

There are a couple of Kennedys, one is a Captain David Kennedy mentioned on a McColm gravestone, (husband of Elenora McColm)

Also Agnes Kennedy mentioned on a McQuiltan gravestone (wife of William McQuiltan)

No McKillops but one McKellop, Janet, mentioned on  an Angus gravestone.

I'll transcribe if you think they are of use to you.
