Does anyone have any info on this family?

Who did Alfred marry [prior to 1891] he appears in 1891 census married but without wife - any children?

I have been looking for my Mum's friend [now 85] but my Mum has found another lady [via Wilstead Church] who was a PEARCE at marriage...she is not too sure who her parents were I think I can find them but does anyone relate to the family?

I disagree, as I am wont to do!

In 1891 Alfred 28 living in Wilstead with his parents Richard and Emily is shown as "S" - Single

In 1901 he's living at the Infants' School Wilstead
Alfred Pearce head marr 39 Coal merchant b Wilstead
Mary A Pearce wife 43 Infants school mistress b Biggleswade
Kate Henshawe niece 6 At P.E.School b Camberwell London

FreeBMD has a marriage in Bedford registration district in the June quarter 1897 between Alfred Pearce and Mary Ann Henshaw

Many thanks

If Alfred did not marry it makes research easier...

However, are there any male PEARCEs that Nora could have been born from [in 1925]?  John went to Kempston and had one son [Edward in 1881] ...George had a daughter, called Clary - but are there are more boys?

There is an easier way to do it than speculating! Not that I can see any Pearces connected with Wilstead that appear to fit.

As she is living I'll send you the rest by PM

Thank you for the info Bedfordshire - my Mum's friend has a photo of Mrs Pearce [the lady's aunt] who was the infants school mistress and other evidence so that fits in nicely.  She was given a clock when she retired which her neice still has I believe
