Hi Celia,
Re my Richard Whittaker - No rush! Any years around 1830 will be fine. As he was born in 1768 I don't expect he survived much longer than that!
(His son James, b.1793, also a watch spring maker, appears in the 1832 Liverpool Poll Book, but Richard doesn't.)
Thanks again,
Arkay

Because someone didn’t turn up as arranged after waiting in and it was too late to go where I could have gone. I went to the library to have a casual look through some later directories I will do the others at the weekend. There is no mention of an occupation on the request, so as there are only 4 mentioned and skip a lot of years I took what was there in case they might be related at some time. 1845. Leathwood, Joseph, warehouseman 36a Fleet Street Samuel, Victualler 10, Great Charlotte Street 1847 Joseph W/houseman & beer house 36b Fleet Street Robert W/Houseman Llewellyn Building 55a Fleet Street 1849 Joseph. “27 Strickland Street Everton Samuel Gentleman 20 Kirkland Road 1857 Abraham Stone Mason 16, Oak tree Place, St Paul’s Road south Tranmere 1859. Samuel, Book Keeper.Back Mount Vernon Green. 1860. Francis. W/houseman Back Mount Vernon Green. In years in-between the above no Leathwood at all. So looks like they moved around a lot
Kelly, I had a look for any McVey in the bit later years but none mentioned, hopefully the earlier years might give some. Celia

Hello Celia: I was wonder if and when you have the time if you could look for a George Parkinson, butcher. His daughter Ruth Parkinson was born in Liverpool in 1824. I you could look in the late 20's or early 30' would be great. All I know about this family so far is that Ruth Parkinson married Thomas Winstanley in Manchester. They are my grgrgrandparents. Every census record Ruth states she was born i n Liverpool.
Thank you very much.
Cheers
Anne

Thank you so much, Celia, for looking through all those films. It looks as though he probably died before 1829. I appreciate your help.

Could you please look up your directories to see if you have a Hugh (Boisdale) McDonald listed. He was a gentleman but I think he was involved in shipping as he always lived in port cities. I know he lived in Liverpool from about 1842-1856.
He also had 2 elder sons Colin and Hector.
Thanks in advance,
Sandra Moffatt
