I googled for Speenhamland, Berkshire. At present the mapping function does not seem to be working but the satellite one shows it quite clearly.

Henry V111 reigned from 21 April, 1509 to 28 January, 1547.
The initial posting on this thread has 1544 and information which says 26 April [?] Hen8.
Could the initial 1544 be the year the will was written or proved?

Hi Newburychap, Here is complete will. I think its 1544. It can be found at genuki. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Do you know if this Church is still there? I'm looking for a British Barksdale interested in family history, but it seems the name has about died out in England. I descend from William Barksdale immigrant to America about 1660. Regards Danny Barksdale

I think you will find that the term "inholder" means that he was an inhabitant of Spynham who lived in the property or more probably on the land which he held. It sometimes simply means that he lived in a freehold property.
No Inn to be found I am afraid.
