Parlour
« on: Thursday 06 March 08 08:52 GMT (UK) »

Any help please on the Parlour family of Hereford Town/Dubroyan/Bishopston.

I am particularly interested in Emma Parlour (1835/1837/1838) in parish records and in the 1841 and 1851 censuses.

I have her whereabouts at and after her marriage to James Scriven in Bridgnorth in 1855, but just cannot trace her in the early years.

To confuse the issue, she appears as Emily A. in later censuses.

Thanks, Smiley

Emma/Emily isn't showing up as PARLOUR (or anything close!) in 1841/1851.  Do you have the marriage cert?  Her father's name (or indication of a prior marriage) would make it easier to search for her.

Thanks for looking, M R... I think I have solved it. She appears under a different name altogether!

I am now looking for her parents James Parlour b. 1809 and Ann b.1806, either in 1841 or as deaths, most probably in Hereford.
