The reference to Dorothea Francis Cookson made me sit up abit as I am currently tracing her mothers line for a local history "project" which has been on going for a couple of years now. If I have it right her mother was Caroline Mary Neave b.1793/4 in Murrafapore India. Daughter of  John Neave (1763-1835) and Catherine Smith. John Neave was the second son to Sir Richard Neave 1st Bt of Dagnam Park, Essex and Frances Bristow. Sir Richard had been the Deputy Governor of the Bank of England at the time Gordon Riots and was auditor of the public accounts. He was made a Baronet in 1795.
