DINEEN'S
« on: Sunday 30 August 09 18:20 UTC (UK) »

Hello    Smiley

I am looking for anyone who knows how to find a record of Immigration from Ireland to New York. I have looked at Ancestry and I have had very nice people try to help. One person looked at ships manifest for 1881 - 1888, and couldn't find him. So, I am going to ask for your help please.    Huh

My Great-grandfather: PATRICK  FRANCIS DINEEN, was baptised at St. Brendan Parish in Ardfert, Kerry, Ireland in 1867, address was "East Commons." His parents were: DANIEL DINEEN and CATHERINE RIORDAN married in 1886.  In the 1900 Census for Brooklyn, Kings County, Ward 14, District 205, on image page 14, it states he immigrated in 1882. He did not immigrate with his family, because they all immigrated in 1886, that would be his parents and his siblings. PATRICK was married to MARY MULLANE around 1895/96, their first child a son, was born in 1897 his name was also PATRICK. Another monkey wrench is that his 1910 Census in Brooklyn, NY states he immigrated in 1884.

My request is, can anyone find him leaving Ireland in either 1882 or 1884 for New York?

Thank you to all who would try to find out this imformation!    Kiss
