Thanks thats the Robert James Heaton Collins that i was looking for didn't know that he would have given the Heaton part of the name very surprised it says solicitors clerk do you have this directory on disc or have you got the actual directory just wondered if you could post an image of the page for me if possible  thanks once  again Erika you have been a really great help

I found a George W Dyson victualler Queens Head  149 Park Rd- 1 North Hill  S
There were some other William Dyson but in other parts of Liverpool. Huh

Robert Temple  bootmaker  159 Mill St  S     res  2 Shearer St  S

Thanks for your offer - could you look up Charles Poynter for me please? 

In Kellys 1894 he was a cabinet maker and upholsterer at 2a Tagus St, south side, Toxteth Park, and in the 1901 census he was in Tiber St, Toxteth Park.

George W Dyson is Mine  Grin as Is Robert  Temple is Mine Too..

Robert Temple Went on to Live in the Beresford Road after he Married William Dyson's Daughter ..William also Occupied 174 Beresford Road in the Eatly 1920's

I did get your email ok thanks, My Great Grandfather and Grandfather  lived at 150 Goodison Rd  from 1914 onwards the Robert James Heaton was not the Collins i was looking he was the Father of my G grandmother Caroline Collins (nee Heaton) who had a son Robert James Heaton Collins thats who i thought it was when you gave me the information if you know what i mean thanks once again

Hi,

In 1919, my great grandfather jumped off the pier head in Liverpool to rescue a child from drowning.  According to the local newspaper at the time, the child was named as Albert Hughes of 35 (36?) Wilton Street, Liverpool. The child was eight years old at the time.

Can you possibly find out any information on this name please. I am toying with the idea of writing a small book about Great grandfather as he rescued people from the Mersey on three separate occasions, was a member of the lifeboat crew, plus was a volunteer fireman.  Obviously he had a pretty adventurous life.

If Albert Hughes survived to have family of his own it would really be interesting to find any living descendants who are here thanks to great grandfather.

What a lovely story, but I'm afraid I've been unable to find anyone for you Sad
Wilton St in the directory doesn't have a 35 or 36.
I also looked through all the Hughes but nobody at a Wilton St.

I looked for Milton St as well just in case the print was a little blurred but no luck there either.

I'm really  sorry but wish you luck with the book.
