Would appreciate the death of James Macnamara should be 1838 in Portsmouth area. Iam hoping it would give his age. Also if I order the burials is there a difference between the fische and the CD.

Hi forestcity38,

Found this on http://freebmd.rootsweb.com

Deaths

James Macnamara  Sept 1837   Portsea  8   109

this entry has a query regarding possible mistranscription because Portsea should be entered as 7.   If you apply to the GRO for a copy of the certificate with this explanation I'm sure they will be able to help.

Ages were not shown on the early registers.

Sorry but not able to advise regarding fiche and cd.   Huh

Thanks Jan I was thinking that it started in 1838 and not 1837
