Hi sue the only place you will find burial records is in libraries churches,or archives. If a burial took place in a council owned cemetery, they can be found on a film in the area that she died in.If she was buried in that area.If she was buried in a churchyard you might find them on film as well. Some churchyard burials are also in book form,so firstly you will have to look at any burial grounds she might be in.If finding where our ancestors were buried, was easy it would nice.Unfortunately it isn't,unless you get lucky

Hi
Dodcott-cum-Wilkesley is in Wrenbury Chapelry, but parts of it also come under the parishes of Acton and Audlem, so to find the burial you're looking for you would have to search all three places.

Hi Sue
I've just noticed that you have an exact date of death for your ancestor? This makes searching a whole lot easier so I'll have a look at the burial records for the places I mentioned in my previous post.

Hi Sue
Here is the entry you are looking for:
MF 104
1873 June 20. Ann Dale aged 45 was buried. Officiating minister, Arthur Atkinson.
Ann was buried at Burleydam (St Mary & St Michael) which was founded in 1735 as a chapel of ease to Wrenbury. Apparently it became a parish in 1869 surving parts of Dodcott-cum-Wilkesley and Newhall.

Hi Sue
Here is some more information relating to Burleydam, which may be of interest to you.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Mary's_and_St_Michael's_Church,_Burleydam#History
It's only a small church/chapel and, as it happens, is of particular interest to me as five members of my family are buried there. I remember, as a small boy, my father taking me out for the day to see the place in the 1970s. My great-grandparents, Walter & Sarah Timmis, their son, George, and their two daughters Violet & Enid, who both died of tuberculosis, are buried there. I think my grandmother had wanted to be buried there but ended up in Crewe Cemetery for some reason.

Hi Jayson Thanks for the link I could not get anything up when I tried, I will have to take another look around the area. Do you happen to know the area well or have access to a old map. In the 1861 and 1871 William and Ann Dale were living what looks like Podmore Lane Burleydam, I have taken a look at a up to date map and cannot find a Podmore lane. William re married after Anns Death and in the 1881 he was living Hollin Green Newhall would you say its possible he would of been buried at the chapel in Burleydam as well or would hollin green of been to far from burleydam. Hope you dont mind me picking your brain
