What a puzzle 
Lets see if we can't inspire some educated guesses 
Perhaps it was a nickname given to the kirkyard by the person whose death certificate it was? Maybe s/he thought the design on the gates reminded her/him of Olive leaves?

No problem at all it was fun to think that there may have been a Kirkyard of Olives in Scotland!
Durris will be just as exciting though!
I hope your friend makes a great discovery - post a photo when she find sit it will be of interest to all Isles
