COMPLETED...Nicholas and Thomas Hixson - did they emigrate ?
« on: Saturday 08 March 08 11:19 GMT (UK) »

I am searching for brothers Nicholas Hixson b 1829  and Thomas Hixson b 1835 who were born in Oystermouth, Glamorgan . They show up in the 1851 Wales census , but neither show up in the 1861 census.  I can't find any death entries. There is a family story that they emigrated to the USA.

Does anyone have access to any records which could show this ?

I have never been contacted by any family history researcher who claims descent from either of these brothers.

Any information welcome

Thanks  Smiley Smiley

I found nothing with a look on Ancestry that places them in the US. Doesn't mean anything of course. Is it possible they went to Australia or NZ? Maybe someone with better eyes than me will find them somewhere.

Thank you very much for looking in Ancestry.  With family stories they could certainly have gone elsewhere !  I'll just keep looking.
