I have managed to trace my family tree back to my grandfather and grandmother. I was wondering if anyone had any information (brothers, sisters, parents, etc) about a John Elkin who married a Emily Jayne Weaver from Hanley, Staffordshire, we think the wedding would have been around 1892.
Would appreciate any information

Could your John have been in the army, as on the 1881 census, there is a John Elkin aged 21 from Hanley serving at Whittington Barracks, nr Lichfield.

emily jane weaver married john elkin 23rd may 1886 northwood staffordshire.brides father samuel weaver and grooms father john elkin.brides age 20yrs and grooms age 26yrs

Emily, wife, mar, 34, b. Staffs, Kinsley
Sarah, dau, 13, b. Hanley
Ada, dau, 9
Daisy K, dau, 7
John T, son, 5
George W, son 2

All children born in Hanley.

Kingsley is nearby to Cheadle, this would confirm the 1891 birthplace for Emily.

 The closest  match in the 1871 census is  RG10/2858, Folio: 7, Page 7

This has a father John Elkin (Collier) aged  39 with wife Elizabeth, 38  both born Sandon, living 18 Back West St, Hanley, Staff's.
They have 8 children
Selina 18 -sponger
William 17- collier
Ann 15 - sponger
John 13
George 10 - scholar
Caroline 7  - scholar
Sevey? 5- scholar
Fredrick 34- scholar

First 3 children born Sandon others born Hanley.
