Hi Celtic Gael (or anyone else)
Do you happen to know if the original parish records are held in the Sacred Heart Church in Carn. I made inquiries there a few years ago but the Parish Priest proved to be rather off handed so I did not persue it but perhaps it may be worth another try.

There is copies of the Carndonagh Births/Marriages records in the Library from 1850 --1900. I can do a search for you. Let me know what you want .

Hi Agnes I have photo copies of pages from Carndonagh but what I would like to see is the original entries. I would like to see if they would yield more information than the printouts in Carn Library. I may be in Carn in the spring and if the originals were in the church I would try and make an appointment with the secretary and see if it was possible to view them. Thanks again for your offer of help and your reply Patrick
