Hello Ashley. . Here they are. One gravestone for each surname. The gravestones are in an awful condition and here is what can be read of them. I am afraid the dreadend white lichen has taken it toll.
Here lieth the body of Ann, daughter of Joseph and Hannah Bell of Hesfield?, who died 20 July 1768 aged 6 weeks.
Ethel Bowman, beloved wife? of Fred Bowman, died April/19/??92 aged 23 years
To the memory of John Dickinson of High Lovelady Sheeld (sic), who died the 12th day of August 1898 aged 68 years. Also Mary, his wife, who died March/26/1827 aged 82 years.
In loving memory of Robert Teasdale, who died at Ivy House, Garragill December\??/1805 (could be 1905 aged 47 years.
John Walton, of Garrigill, died 20/June/1771.
?? his daughter died 4/May/1812 aged 10 years. Also Joseph Wanlass, second husband, died 1833 aged 79 years.
In loving memory of Christopher Reed Charlton, late of Humshaugh, born June/14/1859, died April/22/1938.

Hello Ryan. Only the one for Wilkinson:-
In memory of John the son? of Adam Wilkinson, ? who died the 7th day of May 1772 aged 12? could be 19 years. Stone in poor condition as are many other stones in that graveyard.

Hello Derekac. Here is the gravestone inscription for Clementson. Is of a red sandstone? type that is badly affected by lichen but here is what can be read:-
In loving memory of Joseph Clementson of Garrigill, who died may/5/1845 aged 49 years. Also of Elizabeth his wife, who died June/4/1867 aged 66 years. Also Elizabeth, their daughter , who died ??/5/1843? aged 2?? years. Also John, their son, died May/24/1862 aged 24? years. Joseph, their son died ??/13/1864 aged 46 years. Matthew? ? May/2/?? aged 43 years. Margaret, their daughter died June/3/1857 aged 45 years.
Lots of but if they are yours it may give some useful information. Of course you will have to treat the dates and ages that have the ?? with caution.

Adam Many thanks for the information on the Clementson gravestone. It has been a great help and ties in with the family tree as far as i have got. Have you researched any other graveyards as we think that some of the family may have been buried in Alston or Redwing. Thank you for your time. derekc
