1871 census lookup please

Hi,

I have Frederick Charman Wardell born in 1850 in Totton to parents John and Mary Wardell (nee Charman).

He is on the 1851 with his parents and siblings and on the 1861 with his father, grandmother and siblings, but I can't find him on the 71 or later, but neither can I find a death for him.

I may have found him in a street directory in 1863 where it says Washington Hotel tap, Lower canal Walk.

If anyone would have a look to see if they can find him on another census or find a death for him, I would really appreciate it, as he just seems to have vanished, or I'm looking in the wrong place.

I wonder whether this might be him in 1871:

Mllbank Prison, London
Francis Wardell  18  B. Southampton

I can't see this chap on the 1861, nor can I find a birth reg. for him in Southampton.
