Hi everyone - another request please.   Smiley

Joseph Hope born Blackrod, Lancashire 1858.

Married Rachel Smith 1880 Bolton Lancashire

I believe Joseph arrived in Australia without Rachel.  She and Richard emigrated about 9 years later.

Can anyone help with their arrival dates.

I assume you found Rachel (32) and Richard (9) arriving in 1890 on the Oroya. Why do you think  Joseph came 9 years earlier? Was he on the 1881 Census in UK

Is Emily mentioned in another post their child? Where was she born?

I believe it was Joseph on the 1881 Census shown as a lodger at Berry Street, Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

Emily was born 1893 in NSW Australia.  Her death record states:- mother Rachel Smith father Joseph Hope.

I have been unable to find a registered record of her birth.  Huh
