Martin,
I understand your frustration. I'm sure we will hear something soon. Though I can't promise. Please be patient.
Thanks, Pam

It looks as though my hits are being recorded by statcounter - someone has accessed my temporary 110MB site from this thread [thank you ], and this has shown up on my statcounter recent visitors log. Looks like my google analytics is returning data too. I used a rootschat counter, so don't know if the statcounter "counter" works - I must admit I don't want the fag of changing the code as I anticipate (hope?) this 110MB site is only going to be temporary JULIAN That was me the accessed your site
It is quite easy to move the statcounter between your hosting sites, all you need to do if you start using roots again to host your images is to change or add the roots URL to the Install settings > Edit settings page and the job is done.

I also mentioned my concerns that all is well with Trystan & Sarah on the other thread. As we all know Trystan works away a fair bit but it is unusual for there to be no word and I hope they have not had some problems of their own. If so, I wish them both well and will wait as long as it takes to get my site back with RC.
After all - we are all here for family research reasons and I don't like to think of us pressuring them if they have difficulties of their own.
dinie
Thanks Dinie. I'm sure that will be very much appreciated.

What is wrong with Rootsweb? I don't know!
Personally, I'm a little nervous about getting freespace from a corporation that is free and easy with your family tree information (on ancestry). Though just having read through the terms for the rootsweb space
http://accounts.rootsweb.com/index.cgi?op=show&page=freagree.htm it does appear that they won't "nick your data"

Trystan and Sarah were both online yesterday (UK time)
They have reassured the Mods that all is well and hopefully Trystan will let you all know what his plans are for the webserver very soon.
He mentioned plans to address one issue of concern this weekend ...
(You now know as much as we do!)
kind regards, Arranroots

Thank you Arranroots for letting us know what is going on. Very very much appreciated. When the weather is cold and too grey to go outside and be active my website creativity gene becomes active and itchy.
Very glad all is well with T & S
