I am trying to find some information on john spiller born about 1801 in churchstanton somerset he married ann mogford in bishops hull somerset they had 7 children. i know john spiller father was called samuel and in the 1841 census he was living with john he 79 years old and a agricultaral labourer it does say he was from somerset but i am not sure if he was born in somerset or somewhere else i would appreciate any help trying to locate john spillers parents as i cant seem to find anything out there on them.

Re 1841 census, only the county of birth was given, so if it says Samuel was born there then he probably was.  Was he still alive in 1851 census?  Maybe his death certificate would give some information.

i cant find him in the 1851 census so i would think he died i cant find a death record for him at the moment.

sorry, can only see two deaths for a Samuel Spiller 1841-1851 and they're both Axminster, Devon

You said in your post that John & Ann had 7 children.  Did you know that Ann died and John remarried by 1851?

death reg  Dec 1849 Spiller  Ann  Taunton 10 363

marriage reg Dec 1850  Batten Mary Ann   & Spiller John   Taunton 10 741

in 1851 census John & Mary Ann had John's 5 children + 2 Batten step-children
details if you don't already have this

yes i already have this information. i am stuck with finding out about samuel and who his wife and parents were. it would also be nice to find some brothers and sisters for john.
