Hello All.
Just having a "rummage" through my names again, as you do!
and my great grandmother is still being very difficult to track down. So I thought I'd ask you for help once again.
This is all I have on her...
Lily Elizabeth Gertrude SMITH. Born I believe, Langley Green, Staffordshire around 1877. She married William SHARP on the 10th April 1898 in Ilford, Essex.
Any info would be very welcome.

It is "Lily" herself that I would like to find out more about.
Do you know of this area where she came from?
I thought it was called "Langley Green", but you say "Langley Grey"...

Yes, on the marriage cert it states his name as "Charles" and his occupation is that of "Keeper".

No, I think the Langley "Green or Grey" area is in Staffordshire, as it is in Staffordshire that I believe her to have been born.

Hi FH,
There is a Langley Green which is part of West Bromwich, West Midlands, which, at that time, would have been part of the Staffordshire census.

The only Lily E of right age with father Charles was in Wednesbury on 91 census .Were have you got Staffs from as pob is it just the census?
I spotted that one too ...frustrating the occupation doesn't match as there is a Laney Green about 4 miles from Wednesfield according to Genuki.

Hello All.
Thank you for the help.
Staffordshire is on the census as her birth place but also some old aunts had suggested that she "came from up that way".
The witnesses to her marriage were her husbands sister and her husband.
