would they appear on any censuses 1841-1901
what info do you want marriages,deaths,births, or census entries.

Hi wozzle
I have got william girling on the 1851 census,married to elizabeth children,louisa,lucy,elijah,lydia,ellis.
I was following williams line but hav since found out that ellis my ggg grandad was louisa,s illegitimate son with no fathers name on birth cert so i am not sure who to follow now.i hope this makes sense.thankyou lou,lou

William would still have been Ellis' grandfather and where the Girling name came from, so there is no harm following his line.

The Norfolk Marriage Index shows a William Girling married Elizabeth Wright on 6 Sept 1833 in Watton
