GRAY (McGlashan) of Bonhill
« on: Monday 10 March 08 16:59 UTC (UK) »

My great grandfather was christened Archibald Gray (1855 Bonhill) but from the mid-1860s was known as Archibald McGlashan. Family legend has it that some scandal involving a family member led his father Peter to adopt the name McGlashan. Can anyone cast light on this? Is anyone researching the Gray family of Bonhill 1800 to 1860? Thank you.
