Hello,
Would someone be able to look for a birth of George Wilson in Dumbarton c 1810/11. His death cert says his father was George a farmer but that may not be accurate. The 1851 census says he was born Old Kilpatrick. The 41 census implies he was born in Renfrewshire but I dont think that is correct. If by chance he is found, did he have siblings in the same area?

Used up the last spare credits I had on Scotland's People and  did a check for you and found the following that may be your George WILSON :-

14/04/1813 WILSON George   Father = Alexander WILSON
                                               Mother = Elizabeth THOMSON
Old or West Kilpatrick Dunbarton

Siblings in Dunbarton as follows :-

19/11/1810 WILSON Hannah Hartley     Father = Alexander WILSON
                                                               Mother = Elizabeth THOMSON

10/05/08 WILSON Thomas    Father =  Alexander WILSON
                                              Mother = Elizabeth THOMSON

All registered in Old or West Kilpatrick

Hi Karenlee,
That was very generous of you but I am not confident it is him as his death cert, shipping records and census indicate he was born closer to 1810. I will keep your info in mind though.
