How far is it to Bethlehem?

Well, I suppose it means that this Edward WILD married Isabella HALE, although I can't see an Edward-Isabella couple on census at the moment...
It looked a good match, but if the record office say the cert isn't for Edward and Mary, it can't be the right one, I'm afraid.
ADDED: There's a death in Shoreditch in 1855 for an Isabella Jane WILD, so guess that's her.

The original GRO index is arranged alphabetically by quarter, so FreeBMD transcribes each entry separately, and their software then allows us to search for others with the same page reference. Either the missing male name on this page hasn't been transcribed yet, or the reference number for his entry was so hard to read that he's showing up elsewherere. (Some entries have numbers like "5_2", meaning the middle figure was illegible.)
