Isle of Raasay - John MacLean 1806

Looking for info on John MacLean born c.1806 on Isle of Raasay. He married a Catherine before 1837.

this was the only entry for a parish in the Isles... at least for the time period...

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately it's not my John MacLean. Mine is definitely on Raasay but may be listed under the parish of Portree.

Have had another look, and have found 3 John McLean's... no MacLeans at all, but thats probably a transcription error...

I'd been told his mother was a McLeod and the names Norman and Christy both turn up in several following generations.
