Hi all,
Any info appreciated on the family of Francis and Helen Harvey listed as living at  “Pinehaven”20 Watcombe Rd. West Southbourne Bournemouth. I got this info through the death of their son Arthur in WW1. So I presume them to be living here at the time of his death in 1917.   Francis was a school inspector. Any suggestions how to track this family. ? or perhaps the employment records of Francis??

think that is as far as i can go back with the harveys
they were probably in ireland during the 1861 census.
will have a look for helen harvey (freeman )prior to her marriage to francis.

WOW!!!! Smiley  Wozzle, you have certainly been busy. I really appreciate it - THANK YOU.

I have Francis Harvey (husband of Helen) tree dating back to the 1700's. His father came from Portadown in Co. Armagh (where I live). His son Arthur(who died in the war ) would have been my Grandfather's 2nd cousin.  I already had some of the info which you give me but you also give me loads which I did not have.  I have theHarvey family in 1901, 1891,1881 and 1871. I did not know that there was a Mary Jane Milner living with them though. Thank you for that. You also provided loads of info re Helen (Freeman's) family. I only had her  parents and siblings names plus her d.o.b. Thank you.
Any info on the family is welcomed . They were the only Harvey's in my tree to move to England. Others moved to Canada and USA and I have successfully tracked and met up with them. I would dearly love to know of Francis and Helens descendants to see were the family is now.  Another kind Rootschatter found the family in 1904/6 still living in Beverley.

In the 1901 census it lists Francis as "sub-inspector of Schools , Board of Education   Whitehall born East stonehouse Devon".  I am unfamiliar with English towns , counties and names. Is there an area in East Riding called Whitehall or does it mean that the schoolboard  was national and it is Whitehall London Huh?. Apologies for my ignorance, and thank you once again for so much info.
