Please could anyone find me the details of the marriage of Mary Frith and Robert White. 1834 Hope Derbyshire.
I would like to know who the fathers were and Wittnesses etc.
Trying to find out more about Mary Frith

Robert White & Mary frith (of Hathersage), date 20/1/1834 witnesses are Amy Frith & ? Woodroofe (which is a local name)

Thankyou for this info. Did you manage to notice the fathers names aswell?
I have a William Frith who married a Hannah Woodroof.
So this fits in nicely.

There were no Fathers names at this date, they were included after 1837 I think, Woodroofe/Woodruffe quite common in that area

I think that Mary Frith is the daughter of a Henry Frith/ Hannah Griffin of Wirksworth. I've found a few details on the Wirksworth site. And I can follow Henry Frith down the line until his death in Stockport Cheshire.
Don't know where an AMY Frith fits in though.
