What did you want to know from St Ambrose as I shall be going to stay 10 miles outside Worcester in April & will do a limited look up for you if you can be a bit more specific with names & rough dates etc

thankyou for your offer of help.
i recently visited worcs history center and got some baptisms written down ,but i was hoping for a more leisurely look through,
it was only a day visit and it went to quickly and i travelled a distance for me to visit.
i will get another chance someother time

ps I shall be going on holiday to Crossway Green, Hartlebury [about 10 miles from Worcester] & I go into Worceester once a week to visit the history centre

thank you again, i know how quickly time passes in record offices ,so i won't trouble you.
i can go again myself i have failed in finding a cd of st ambrose parish records it would be wonderful to have the chance to search in my own home at ease
my sister lives in birmingham and she can go for me

i will also be visiting in her in april, i will be going to st chads archives in birmingham and will be able to look at baptisms then, the same as they have at worc thank you

Hi Ann
Good hunting but if you come back by train aviod the rush hour at New Stret for goodness sake.
Also, they have had a revamp at Birmingham library (personally I prefered it as it was) & the readers are now all bunched up together giving you no room for writing materials - one good thing though they have lockers there now & have also taken the computers away from the 6th floor which I think is a good thing.
Another thing, if you want anything from the 7th floor(which is now also on the 6th floor it pays to e mail for it in advance as they make you wait about 40 mins for a document ordered up the same day
