Hi
Have you looked through Rev. Thomas Warren's book on the History & Genealogy of the Warren family. On page 110 it states under the heading Hampshire, "Died at Headley, Hants, 1860, Willliam Warren, for many years occupier of the Bramshott & Stanford paper mills and head of the firm Warren & Sons, paper manufacturers."
Cheers

Hi Gidget,
Some more info for you.
Nathaniel Short Warren bapt 21 Apr 1805 st Mary, Southampton, parents Christopher and Anna Maria Warren.
Christopher Warren married Ann Maria (Anna Maria or Hannah Maria) Sims 4 Feb 1790 St Mary Southampton
Other Children: Uriah baptised 20 Jun 1790 William bapt 25 Mar 1792 Elisabeth Sims bapt 9 Mar 1794, buried 17 Aug 1794 ? Elizabeth Amelia bapt 17 Jul 1795 Harriet bapt 25 Feb 1798 John Elisha bapt 28 May 1800 Carolina Isabella Short bapt 2 Oct 1802
Christopher was a stonemason, and at one time owned property in Orchard Lane in Southampton. He appears to have died in 1830, buried 14 Dec 1830 aged 62 All Saints, Southampton.
Nathaniel Warren married Mary Ann Furner 27 Dec 1828 Nursling. They may have been non-conformist since I cannot trace any of the children’s baptisms. Mary Ann Furner b 9 Feb bapt 19 Feb 1800 Lymington, parents William and Elizabeth Furner.
Possible marriage: William Furner married Elizabeth Dennis 27 Jul 1797 in Romsey.
There is a large number of papers relating to the Warren family at the Hampshire Record Office in Winchester. The catalogue is searchable here:
http://calm.hants.gov.uk/DServeA/search.htm
By searching for Nathaniel Warren, I found this catalogue reference: 49M98W/B1
If you click on that number, it takes you to a further page detailing the papers included – even Nathaniel’s will is listed, plus references to birth certificates etc for various members of the family. You cannot view any of the documents but the description may help you. There also seem to be a number of uncatalogued photographs of the family.

Nell

Is it possible that Nathaniel Short Warren and William Warren of Bramshott Paper Mills were brothers because both went into printiong at about the same time? Does their father Christopher Warren [Stonemason of Southampton] also come from Hampshire, can find no record going further back?
