Hello.
Is this cute cute place-name near or in Tendring, Essex.  I'm looking at the 1841 census and the sub district is Thorp, Essex.

I'd never heard of it, so I googled it  -  try that - there's loads  !  Cheesy

It seems it is an amalgamation of two Essex villages - Beaumont and Moze, which were separate parishes and joined in 1678.  It's 9 miles south west of Harwich.
