Yes it me again, Roll Eyes
I have pulled my mother in laws marriage cert on there is states Father Norman Walker Film director.it also looks like her mother signed E j. Walker I would like to trace this family for my husband, My mother in law was born 1920 2 qt But I have a choice of possible three mothers, Perhaps some some could find a marriage cert for Norman Walker before 1920 which would give me a maiden name.
I would ask my mother in law but she suffers from altzimers ( sorry for the spelling but spell check is not picking it up)and I live in France

The consensus is:
He was born Sat, 8 October 1892, Bolton Lancashire, died 4 Nov 1963.
Began Film career 1920 as an assistant director.
First major Fim credit: 1925
He was a Captain in WW1
Prior to directing, was a stage actor.
Later in his career he again did acting work

FREEBMD shows  2 Norman WALKER's registered in Dec Qtr Bolton - but in fact the one for page 440 is in error, just checked the image and the page is actually 441:
Norman WALKER - Vol 8c, pg 441
Norman WALKER - Vol 8c, pg 440 (error - page is 441)

And as luck would have it, there are 3 Norman WALKER born Bolton and in Bolton on the 1901 - all  of them have a father named James!

Thanks for the great Photo My husband has confirmed this is his grandfather. Can we find out who he married, When looking for my mother in law birth I have a poss of three, Maiden names Downing, Swallow, Hibbs. We know he married twice second marriage to a Shelia

Cheesy Hello
I have found the marriage of Norman Walker to Celia J. Hibbs in 1919 have asked for cert to be sent. I am hoping once I get the marriage Cert the long journey will start. I have found all children for them also. Much to my surprise. It's reported on the net that Norman Died 4th November 1963 Which would make him 71years of age.This I can't find. Sad
