EASTLEY Tom - Loddiswell, Devon

Hi
I am looking for the death date and index number of the death certificate for Tom Eastley b 05 July 1863 in Loddiswell, Devon, England.
He married Mary Ann Salter b 1863 in Loddiswell, Devon on June 1889 in Loddiswell.
His parents were James Eastley b 1831 Loddiswell and d 1895 Loddiswell and his mother was
Mary Ann Kennard b 1836 Loddiswell and d 1914 Loddiswell.
I can only find him on one census in 1901. Where was he in 71,81 and 91.

I can't find anything for Eastley in 1881 census but there is a

Thomas Issell servant unm 17 farm servant to Philip Blackwell and family Hatch, Loddiswell.

There is only one birth record for a Thomas Issell birth (with middle name E and born 1857 in Stokenham) and he is elsewhere in 1881.

Could this be a mis-hear by the enumerator?

I'm a bit confused about the marriage bit, as Tom Eastley marries Mary Ann Salter in 1889 in Crediton, which is a long way from Loddiswell.  Is this the right marriage?

I like the look of Thomas ISSELL in 1881....

Tom and Mary Jane are in Exeter in 1901, but the 6 oldest children were born in Crediton so I guess he moved there from Loddiswell - ?

I think that Thomas Issell is the right man.
Not sure why Tom (this is the name on his birth certificate) moved to crediton but that is where Mary Ann was born, maybe for the work.

Thomas was in Exeter in 1901 as a mason laborer, this was usually to work on the Cathedral so maybe he did move around where ever the work was
