Can you be more precise in what you're seeking?
In 1901 John was born in Liverpool, his wife in Leicester and all his children in Kent. They appear to have arrived in Wisbech after the birth of their 3 year old son ie after March 1897.
On the face of it his involvement with Cambs appears to be pretty minimal before 1901

Hi bedfordshire boy, I have been looking for my great grandfather for two years. I was wondering if any one in Nottingham area could help. I have always believed his name was Sidney Richards. I knew my grandmother married a Wisbech person so I looked on the 1901 census for him, and went through the whole census and I found a John Richards born in Liverpool with a Lizzie born in Leiestershire, The children were the same names and ages except for their 3year old son. Thet both lived in the same area in Wisbeach. My grandmother Ethel married Frederick Woodrow in Nottingham 14th November1905. I was. So I was just hoping some one someone might be able to help me.A long shot I know. Thanks for replying. Regards Row.

Had you noticed that in 1901 John Richards and family were living next door to Henry WOODROW age 43 and family? No Frederick though. I don't believe in coincidences! Found him! There's a Frederick J Woodrow also living in North Brink in 1901, 4 doors away from the Richards, age 21 son of John and Mary. If you haven't got the details I'll let you have them.
Do you have Ethel and Frederick's marriage certificate so you can confirm their father's names? If not you need it, to confirm that the 1901 families are the right ones. Although with both fathers probably named John (or Sidney) I suppose it could be argued that it's inconclusive evidence!
But despite the Sidney/John discrepancy between 1891 and 1901, and the birthplace of the children changing from Worcs to Kent, I think these are probably the same families
Regards
David

There's a Sidney Richards age 8 born Liverpool living as a visitor at the Herbarium at Kew in 1871. He was a gardener in 1891. I wonder if he was learning the trade at a young age?

Do you have a copy of Ethel's marriage certificate? Who does it name as her father?
