 hi im looking for a pub called the crossway inn because my father in laws dad was born there in 1894, william edward francis  his dad was thomas francis who was a blacksmith born in 1859 and his father thomas was born in 1816

I have looked but cant find anything for a Crossways Inn. In the 1901 census the family is living in St Margaret's Hereford. William is listed as Edward

It might be worth contacting Hereford Archive office to see if they can help

Looking on a map St Margaret's is just a tiny place and if you go through the 1901 census return (which runs to 8 pages) for St Margaret's the only inn in the vicinity is the Sun Inn. There is a house called Crossway where a farmer called William Powell lives but there doesn't seem to be anything else

Yes that makes sense - Elizabeth went home to have her first baby. On the 1891 census she is shown aged 17 a domestic servant at home with her parents

I had missed the marriage on FreeBMD because the surname has been spelt Frances
