Hi List
I am unable to locate a birth record for Margaret Jack born in Fordyce Banff in approx. 1850. Her parents were Lewis Jack and Margaret Fraser married 24 March 1849 Speymouth Moray. The 1861 census at Kintore Aberdeen has her with her parents and siblings aged 11 yrs. I have searched Familysearch.org and Sp but cannot locate her.
Her father Lewis was born in Avoch R&C so I looked there. I also searched in Banff and Moray but...no luck 
Please could sks help me find this elusive birth?

margaret jack age 31 blacksmith's wife born forres morayshire
margaret jack jr. age 1 year 11 months born fordyce morayshire
if it's her and the age is correct that would give a birthdate
february 1849

There is also a marriage banns entry for parents:
MARGARET FRASER Marriages:Spouse: LEWIS JACK
Marriage: 09 MAR 1849 Fordyce, Banff, Scotland
This fits well with what Ev has found and implies daughter Margaret was probably born as indicated by the census in Fordyce just before parents' marriage.
