COULD SOMEONE PLEASE LOOK ON 1861/71/81 CENSUS FOR A THOMAS & BARBARA SUTHERLAND, THEY WERE MARRIED IN HALKIRK CAITHNESS 1855. THEY HAD A SON ROBERT BORN 1861 IN THURSO, MAYBE A JOHN AS WELL. THEY MUST HAVE HAD MORE CHILDREN BUT NONE SHOWING UP ON SCOTLANDS PEOPLE. HE WAS A CROFTER.

I found them on the 1881 Census..... living in  Ploughmans House,Tongue, Sutherland, Scotland

Following are details:-

Thomas Sutherland  - aged 51 -   Married -  Head -  born Thurso Caithness Scotland. Ploughman

Barbara Gunn -  aged 51 -  Married - Wife - born Walls Orkney Scotland Ploughmans wife

John Sutherland aged 12 born Thurso Caithness Scotland, Scholar

Isabelle Gunn aged 60 unmarried Sister in Law born Thurso Caithness Scotland Retired Housekeeper

Sorry don't have access to 1861/71 census

Obviously a brother of Barbara
