Oops, sorry - after reading your other post I don't think this is of any use to you. 
The surname interests table shows several people researching the Lilley name but none from Northamptonshire that I can see

thanks , yes that is my grandad charles, all i know of him is he was a shoemaker and my gran left him in 1928 and returned home as she didnt like where they were living, he was never spoke of again, would love more info on him but the trail stops in 1928 i cant find him anywhere.
thanks for your help if you happen to come across any more info i would be very grateful.
