Hi Amanda, It's a small to medium size church if I remember correctly. I looked at it when we looked at a house ten years ago, when we moved down from Nottinghamshire. We decided to by another house in the end, on the opposite side of Peterborough. Langtoft is a nice village with a good community feel - but growing as many. Market Deeping is a small country town with a small river running through it - lovely in spring and summer. You can watch the ducks and swans swimming along. Give me a couple of weeks and I'll get back to you - if I can't find the graves at least I can let you have some photos of the church. So, I'll be in touch - perhaps if you PM me and give me an email address that might be the best option. Paulene
Hi Amanda, Just to let you know I've been to Langtoft and found John and Isabella's grave. Road names in Langtoft have changed - not surprising is it (Poor house road wouldn't go down very well today, would it ) Think I found Harfleet. Just re-charging my camera so it will download photos. Will be in touch soon - but wanted to let you know it was a fairly successful trip - told them you were hoping to visit them, and pay your respects Paulene
Paulene this sounds great!!! Really excited to see your photos. Hope your cold is better and you have not been affected by all the grass pollen in the churchyard! Amanda

Hello Paulene A huge thank you for all the thought and care you put into the graveyard search for my Pell family. The photographs of the local villages and the array of family graves give me a true insight into the lives of my Pells. You are fantastic I do hope you gained as much pleasure from your day out as I did receiving all this wonderful information.... you are a star. RootsChatters are truly fantastic people.
Best wishes Amanda

Hi Amanda, I'm surprised you've waded through them all yet! It was a pleasure - beautiful day, beautiful place, friendly people - what more could you ask for. It has given me great pleasure to help. I suspect that they were a very close family - who because of old age had no alternative but to seek help. The convalescent home where my father died in the nineties was, I believe, in years gone by a workhouse. Many of the older hospitals began that way. If you've ever up this way, let me know. Enjoy the photos Paulene P.S. Wonder if there's something hiding in that gravestone!
