Please could someone kindly look up Richard Hannaford for me in the Marlborough /Salcombe census.
He was aged 71 years old in the 1861 census and living with unmarried daughter Matilda aged 26 years.
I would like to know if he was still alive.

There's an 87 yr old Richard in the 1871 census with wife Ann, but that's not him is it?

Thanks for looking.
Richards wife was called Jane. He was a widower in 1861.

Hi Jane, thanks for the look-up.
I was wondering if this is the same Richard HANNAFORD. My interest was 71 years old in 1861. This would make him 77 years old in 1867 - not 81years ! 
Do you think the death records were accurate, or perhaps this was a guess -timate of his true age
