yes names are right but Ruth must have died not on ships list
they lost 3 girls and 2boys by 1859 I can only find 2deaths in australia 1 boy 1 girl william and ann.
the ages are wrong on ships list even parents so im not sure if its them on the William Hammond Ship.

It must be them on ship as we have births in Adelaide from the couple.Just a bit confusing but that makes it more of a challenge

What a great site all the births are there I found a death of a John Tillotson Marshall in Bradford and a John t Marshall b 1838 so that is the same person and family I would say.

For the 1841 census  ages over 15 were rounded down to the nearest 5. This was not always done correctly though. I suspect many people had not much idea of their own age as the majority of working class people were unable to read or write.

Try searching on FreeBMD for a John T* MARSHALL,  All Types, West Riding of Yorkshire, (say) Sep 1837 to Dec 1840.
