He definitely married Mary Rosecamp, her children are with them in 1871.

If you look at her family in 1861, the eldest son is 22, ie born 1838/1839, so her first marriage could have been pre Civil Registration.

Gail, have you checked the IGI?

You are in luck, I have found the marriage:

Mary Cutty married Thomas Roscamp, 4th February 1837 at Houghton le Spring.
